Benidorm's high-rise skyline behind its Mediterranean waterfront and sandy beach

Benidorm

A compact vertical city whose planned towers rise behind Levante and Poniente, while the old centre still occupies the headland between them.

Planning, skyline and shore

A vertical city drawn around two beaches

Benidorm's skyline is the visible result of decades of municipal planning, with slender residential and hotel towers set behind the long curves of Levante and Poniente.

At its centre, the old streets and church of Sant Jaume occupy the headland between the beaches, preserving the scale of the fishing town from which the modern city grew.
